9/11 memorial plaza set to open as ground zero welcomes public for first time in decade
This article talks about the 9/11 memorial plaza opening at 10 a.m. today. In the memorial plaza are the names of people that passed away in 9/11. There are mixed feelings about the names in the memorial. Some people aren't very excited about seeing their relatives' names there, but many are glad that they will have a place to honor them. Currently, public security is pretty tight, it will be like an airport with x-ray machines and metal detectors. Around 400,000 people already have planned to see it in this month. We finally have a place of peace where people can come and honor the people who died that day.
